  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, very softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, very softened
  • 6 oz cream cheese, cold
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit until foamy.
  2. In a stand mixer, mix flour and salt; add the yeast mixture along with eggs and softened butter. Knead until smooth.
  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl; cover and let rise for about an hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, honey, vanilla, heavy cream, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, then roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese with softened butter; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  9. Drizzle frosting over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
