  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter until smooth. Add granulated and brown sugars; mix until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; combine well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  4. Scoop dough into balls (about 1.5 inches) and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
