  • 2 tbsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in lemon juice, zest, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely before glazing.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth; spread over cooled brownies.
