  • Olive oil
  • Ground beef
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce
  • Tomato paste
  • Chicken broth
  • Bowtie pasta
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, tomato paste, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add uncooked bowtie pasta; adjust consistency with water if needed and simmer until pasta is tender.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese until melted; top with mozzarella and parmesan before serving.
