  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extracts; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on a rack before decorating with powdered sugar or icing.
