  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion until cooked through (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to season the meat.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, half of the combined soup and milk mixture, and one cup of cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden.
