  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 12 oz butterscotch beer or cream soda
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream, at room temperature
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp butter extract
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, vanilla bean paste, and mix well.
