  • 2 lbs ground beef (80-85% lean)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
  4. For the glaze, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, white vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Brush half over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes; brush with remaining glaze and bake an additional 15–30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
